    Became the first college to install an automated Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) to enhance industrial employment quotient

    • Became the Kolkata chapter for national program on technology enhanced learning (NPTEL)
    • Started a skill development programme under National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT)

    • Outstanding Engineering Institute (East) in the ABP National Education Awards.
    • 1 Engineering College of Kolkata by Times Engineering Survey conducted by Times of India
    • DIT signed a MOU with SAK ROBOTICS Bhubaneshwar for setting up a Center of Excellence in the institute.
